The Carribean Situationist was premiered on LYL Radio in March 2019 as a 2-hour-long continuous mix of vernacular musics and poetry from Haiti, Jamaica, Antigua, Trinidad and Barbados. An aural travelogue encompassing traditional and modern music styles as well as spoken word, this special project was a personal interpretation of the archipelago's sound world, a celebration of Carribean rhythms, musics and languages through a variety of sound collages, rhythm loops, radical sound processing and transformation of original recordings – occasional virtual synth parts were also added.

Stylistically, genres covered include: traditional folk music, mento songs, dub, steel drums, tuk drums, spoken word, cult music, voodoo and orisha ceremonies, a.o. In particular, the original mix made extensive use of two invaluable online resources: Jamaica Musical Passage, featuring modern interpretations of 17th century folk music, and Radio Haiti Archives, collecting exceptional, historical shows from the 1970s and 80s.

This Bandcamp album features choice cuts from the original show favoring non-copyrighted material and profound transformation of sound sources. The title comes from a 1973 anarchist LP named "None Shall Escape – Caribbean Situationist versus Trevor Menroe", compiling conversations and informations on Carribean workers' struggles ca. 1966-73.
